Let’s be honest, my mornings used to be a hot mess. Now? They’re still a little chaotic {hello kids…} but I’ve found a rhythm that actually feels like mine and it’s been a mental mindset game changer.
Before I even make it downstairs to start the day I start with a little skincare ritual that sets the tone: the YOUTH® Age-Defy + Glow Bundle. It’s like giving my skin its own morning matcha—hydrating, brightening, and visibly smoothing everything out before I’ve even looked at my to-do list. I don’t overthink. I just go with my gut. Some days I’m grateful for big things like family and/or friends. Other days it’s as simple as my gel pen {it’s gold, obviously} or my pretty plants. I always start with “I am grateful for…” because it’s not just about listing what I’m grateful for—it’s about taking the time to feel grateful and embodying what I’m calling in.
✨ 2. The Five Minute Journal
Short. Sweet. Soulful.
This journal was a gift from a Secret Santa, and now it’s a daily essential. The Five Minute Journal makes daily gratitude feel effortless and actually enjoyable. With just one page a day, it helps shift your mindset, quiet the overthinking, and create a calm, intentional rhythm in your mornings {and evenings}. This one started during the Worthy of Wellness Club—a 6-week journey that seriously challenged some of my limiting beliefs and opened my awareness to part of my soul that I’ve let get away from me. This devotional journal by Marshawn Evans Daniels helps me go deeper. Some days I write paragraphs, other days a few lines, but it always gives me exactly what I need.

This deck of 49 cards is all about intuition, guidance, and “holy sh*t how did it know” moments. I pull one card a day and let it inspire me. Sometimes I ask a specific question to the universe and see what I get. Most days I ask for something that will inspire me as I go through my day. Only once did I pull the same card two days in a row. It was a sign. I’ll write about it in my memoir.
The best part of this routine? It’s how it makes me feel. Grounded. Grateful. Clear on who I am and where I’m going.
This whole routine isn’t about having a “perfect morning.” Some days everything doesn’t get done!
It’s about giving myself the time and space to start my day with gratitude and intention.
And to be honest? I think that’s where the real glow comes from. ✨
